I think you'll be happy with PBs products. The best part of the PBs polishes is that they can be used in full sun. For people without a garage or carport, this is important. There are others here who have used PBs products. Hopefully they can jump in with their opinions, good or bad, to give you a better idea.

Well I will chalk that as one for the PB products. You definitely seem to be one of the pros here. I hope I am not hijacking your thread.

We changed the price back to the normal retail price to conform with advertising restrictions. To take part in this sale which expires July 5th use coupon code 'JULY4'.

What type backing plate comes with the flex?
Rotary or DA type like the G-110?

Never mind, I see it's a special type.
I pulled the trigger on the flex and the bag for less than $300 including shipping.
Good deal.

The Flex 3401 DA has its own built in backing plate (standard hook and loop) which saves on cost - but limits pad options for now. I believe there is an edge adapter out there to run smaller pads, I heard Lake Country is also working on a smaller backing plate as well. The design of this backing plate ensures a true dual action motion and can support 6.5 and 7.5 inch pads.

I will look forward to future pad options but I was using smaller pads with the G-110 for a faster spin and to get in to tight places. Maybe there will be no need for smaller pads.

Thanks!

I hear ya, I can't wait until there is a smaller backing plate. But when I'm detailing my full sized truck having the larger pad does give me more surface area in my passes and helps to cut down on polishing time.

I'm definitely no pro. Just an enthusiast with more products than I have time to use them. I was just announcing the sale. There's nothing in it for me. Just trying to help everyone get a good deal. Ask away. The more informed you are the better. It's your money.

This is why I wanted the Flex. I have been using the G110 with decent results for 4 months but my truck is a worker and it was taking me major time and effort to correct serious defects.
Using the G-110 taught me products and pads. Now im ready to step it up a few notches.

Well you had me fooled esf.

There is a video on you tube that compares the flex against the PC. It looks like its quite a bit faster. Much quieter too. But it looks like it creates more of a swirl effect when working with it. Maybe similar to a rotary? How often do you need a smaller pad/ machine?

Now Im thinking to much.

If you rush it - or are too aggressive you could have holograms. If you take your time, have a little patience, and follow up with a softer pad - you shouldn't have problems. Each manufacturer and model are different. Some are known for soft clear coats, some for hard.

I can't get in by the license plate or my back hatch of my TBSS because I dont have a small enough pad. It'd be nice to have smaller pads when working in tighter areas (usually the fronts or rears of vehicles).

There have been some outages with the company that handles the credit card processing on CarCareDepot.com - I'll run the sale for a few days into next week to make sure everyone has a chance to get in on this.

Bit the bullet and ordered one. I will give feedback after I get it and use it! Looks like a great tool.

Thanks for the quick turnaround

Got my order today.

The bag is a good size...big enough for my Flex, G-110, some pads, polish and microfibers.

When I get around to using it I will post a review.
