Slapped a shine on her today!

Always wanted to try and clay the truck, so today I finally did. Washed her up really good, clayed the whole truck, and then hit her with two coats of NXT 2.0. Should I take the next step and get a polisher? I've never done that before, but would be willing to try if it is worth it. What do you guys think so far? Thanks in advance!

Neighbor's garage, or at least used to be before the bank took over. I have taken over responsibility for his lawn, when it hit around 6 inches tall. Really helps the ole resale value!

Sure make the leap to a polisher. I would go with a random orbital first then work your way to a rotary. I live in Coon Rapids if you need a hand or a little direction. I also have all the tools if you would like to use one before you buy.

Looks nice. I would start off with a Meguiars G110 (DA) Dual Action Polisher. I always had a passion for detailing since I was a kid but I can honestly say that since I joined this forum and learn from others I'm a much better detailer. I don't do it for a living but I love to have my vehicle looking nice at all times and I realized that I was crazy for doing everything by hand. Not only can you get better results using a machine it can also save you time and energy.

Take a look here

Looks like you have an orange peel problem. You might consider taking it to a pro for some wetsanding.

Wetsanding the factory clear to the point of eliminating the orange peel is a BAD idea. I'd be skeptical of any "pro" that would agree to do that.

Cleaned up so good you can see the factory "orange peel." Just a sign of a clean truck if you ask me. If you had a spare 1K lying around I know of a guy that could wet sand it, but that's way beyond what you need.

As hwm3 said, that is a bad idea. The clear on most oem paint jobs is too thin to eliminate the orange peel.

I do suggest looking into getting a Meguiar's G110 Polisher. Read the sticky then post some more questions on your new step into the detailing world.
