I've read lots of threads about the peeling black paint on our F150 badges and since I have the problem I ordered some decals from Patriot to cover them. After reading all the posts about "how to remove the remaining black paint", I'm wondering if the peeling paint should be removed before applying any decals? Hopefully some of you have more experience with this subject than I. Please help.

 

I would imagine if its only flaking you should be fine sticking it right over.
