Get some scratch-x 2.0 and start from there. If its only paint tranfer that should do it and scratch-x could be found at about any auto part store.

Stupid move on his part, but at least he was willing to pay you for the damage. Some jerks rather argue you to just saying "forget it, dude". - Og

totaly chicken**** of him. I'm not "that" old and I've had three hit and runs on my vehicles. none on my curredn 150 luckily. Just be glad he ponied up something and that you saw him. I never even was able to get an officer to help me with mine. I asked one what they were going to do to try and find the guy ($1500 damage that time). His reply was an instant "well....that's what you pay an insurace premium for...."

he obviously knew he messed your truck up or he wouldnt have payed you without himself goin and checkin it out. try to wax and buff it out, it worked for me when a new tundra owner drilled my door with his while i was sitting in it. i jumped out of my truck instantly and the first words out of his mouth were ''oh it didnt do anything to yours''. long story short, i got his tag number in case i couldnt buff it out, he was a complete a**hole, and he ended up with my vanilla milkshake all over his brand new toyota after he went inside chikfila

Sorry to hear that happened to you. At least you saw it and after you approached him he was willing to pay to fix it.

I would say a clay bar would probably be good to try first - I've never used one, but from what I hear, I think it would be good.

Try meguires mirror glaze #2 it is a very good cleaner wax. That should get the paint off and then give it a good waxing over it you should be fine.

I just fixed a door that my dad scratched here at work and the only place I couldnt get polished completey out was a small dent on the curve of the door.

Maybe I'm a day or three late here but, he should try cleaner wax and then wax it, eh?
