Need quick answers fast

Hey Guys i have a question. When detailing my vehicles i have always done everything by hand, well then i went to wally world and bought one of there 20.00 orbital buffers and got use to it. just doesnt seem to have the power it needs so now im moving up to this one at harbor freight http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=92623

Is it worth it or will it be the same as the dinky ones at walmart. Let me know what you think. Is the harbor freight one a rotary buffer or a dual action. I dont know crap about buffers help me out please this one seemed good to me because it has varible speeds which i think is a plus

Sometimes the old saying holds true; You get what you pay for! I've seen that machine mentioned a few times on forums and the consensus is that it's not very good. My understanding is that it's just not very well built. Judging by the price, I tend to believe that. Honestly, while it's more expensive, you'll get much better results with something like the Porter Cable 7424.

That HF machine looks like a rotary to me. NOT recommended for inexperienced detailers.

I've got one of those and it's well worth the price. I don't understand why people pony up the cash to buy these expensive trucks, then want to go super cheap afterwords.

I've got a porter cable and that H.F. rotary you posted. 90% of the time I'll reach for my P.C. if that gives you an idea. It works but I can't say that it works well. Pretty much only use it when I need a whole lot of cut and/or when needing to use a wool pad.
It has a variable speed dial but an instant on/off switch. A variable speed switch is much more desirable.
Short answer is if you possibly can get hold of a pc you would be much much happier.
I would say imho that for a person inexperienced with machines it'd be better to do it by hand than try to deal with that H.F. rotary.
