Thumbs down Stupid @#!^&* Water Restrictions!

Here in the tri-county Tampa Bay area we're under some pretty strict water restrictions. I can't even wash my truck at my house anymore, but I can go to one of those self-service places or the full service ones and they can waste their water, but I can't use my own, where I would 1) waste less water, and 2) save money.

It's been WEEKS since I've washed my truck, and looking at all of your nice shiny clean trucks just makes me jealous.

That's what Optimum No Rinse is good for.

It works pretty good too.

On that subject, who has the best price on ONR right now? I want to start using it because I have no place with shade that's feasible to use a hose in, it's a pain waiting for a cloudy day where it's not raining. I can park the truck under the deck but using a hose under there is a mess. Is it okay to use a sheepswool mitt with it, or is it best to use a MF towel like they say?

I'm not sure about the pricing in the states but eShine has it on sale this month, and keep in mind that those are Canuck prices, so it'll be substantially cheaper for you.
If you Youtube Optimum No Rinse you'll find a few informative vids. I have seen one detailer using some sort of mitt. I've been using a MF towel myself, but if I had a newer mitt I would use it.

Obsessive Detail's prices are usually on par with or better than most other places. If Justin carries what I need I don't even look anywhere else for it. If he carried the Meg's D-Line I probably wouldn't have to go anywhere else at all.

So is everyone else. That's why I said he's on par or better. He may or may not have a better price but it's rarely going to be more expensive. His prices are only part of the reason I recommend him though. Other reasons are his shipping is fast and reasonable, he's active on forums constantly helping others and he's responds pretty quickly. Customer service is a huge selling point with me and I'd gladly sacrifice a few bucks here and there to have a more pleasant experience. Though in this case I don't have to.

Now don't get me wrong as I don't mean to sound like I'm trying to push anything on anyone. This is just my experience and I feel comfortable recommending him. Same as I feel comfortable recommending Rick for any Meguiars products.

ONR is a good choice here.

As for where to buy....Obsessive Detail is where I buy it. FAST ship, great prices, great service. Hard to beat.

I am not trying to diss Justin, please don't take me wrong. I'm just a cheap bastard and want the best price I can get from someone who isn't going to jack me around or screw me on the shipping. If Justin or someone else reputable would cut me a deal on a gallon (or if someone had it ON SALE), I'd order it tomorrow.

We're all cheap to some extent...my question is, have you ordered from Justin before?

My theory goes like this. I am in Sales myself and run a small business. If 90% of the time I am on par or cheaper, no one complains, but that small 10% of the time I may be on par or slightly higher on something. Customers only bitch about that 10% of the time but the rest of the 90% of the time I save them money they rarely say thank you.

So what right? The net is, Justin's prices are more than fair and he by far has more "sales" than any vendor I know of. In the times when vendors have dropped their F150 discounts (ADS for example), its nice to have someone like Justin around who is more than that 90% better price and service than most vendors out there.

Just my .02 on it.

Some things money cant buy.
The first time I ordered from Obsessive Detail (Justin) I had my things the next day and he threw in some free stuff and samples also. I have gotten free junk before or complimentary stuff but he gave away good stuff...more than once.
If someone was a few dollars cheaper on same items I would still buy from Justin because his customer service has been top notch and right here on this board I can ask or pm and always get helpful answers to his products and intelligent opinions on other products also.
Everyone wants a deal...If you do business with him you will come out on top.
This is not what I think but what has been my experience.

Oh and that ONR is the best!

The vast majority of those places recycle the better part of all that water, therefore saving more water than you would at home.

Just a thought

No worries. I didn't take it that way.
