Comes in like a little pen to cover up scratches...I noticed that while cleaning my truck I have some door scratches from careless people and a key mark where somebody keyed under my window! and now I see that my fiance car has a longgggg scratch from somebody pulling in the parking space wrong and ran down the side of her car.......soo Im looking to fix these and dont know much about scratch removers....any help great appreciated!

It has it's place and when used correctly it can really camo those deeper scratches. Also have to watch where it's used. If it's in the middle a big flat pannel like our doors and/or hood it will be seen. But, in other areas you have to look hard to find them. They also take a bit of practice. Don't expect it to look perfect.

One thing I personaly do is do it in the summer under direct sunlight. It seems to spread more evenly into the scratch and dry right away if the pannel is screaming hot. Also don't try to fill the scratch in one shot if it's deep/big. Just like everything else thin coats is key. The last thing you want is a run. If you need to dab some off, use a lint free cloth.

The duplicolor ink pen style is a very nice advancement. It's so much better than the little brush in managing how much paint is dispensed. I can remember doing it old school with dipping a toothpick into the paint a long time ago. Also make sure you get the exact color code to match your truck. Close won't work.

If you can feel the scratch with your fingernail, ScratchX won't fix it.

I wanted to try this pen from Duplicolor, but the local Autozone only has a general black, not even a Ford specific black. Is this ok for black? Do they make a Ford black that I need to look elsewhere for?
TIA
