undercarriage rust

undercarriage rust

bought a s-crew from IL. has undercarriage rust. what to do?

There are rust converts out there as well. I'd probably crawl under, scrape what I could off, maybe tap some of it off with a hammer, spray it with a converter and then hit it with some paint or even some kind of rubberized undercoating.

I used some kind of rust inhibitor suppose to let it sit for 2 days or until it turns all white then you can paint over top of it. I used POR 15. Just becareful wear gloves and a suit because it will NOT come off. I did it in shorts and a t shirt and it took 3 weeks for it to come off of me.
