But their professional Mirror Glaze, S010, and DETAILER line products are the real deal. I detail as my sole source of income, and I use 90% Meguiar's products because they are the best at what they do in my experience, are cost effective, and make my job/life easier.

Can you say M105?

As nearly every detailer will tell you, it's very simplistic to smack a coat of XYZ wax on your vehicle and make it shine. Old school Turtle Wax or Rain Dance could produce a spectacular shine...

The real difference in products will be seen when you're genuinely going through the steps necessary in a good procedure (ie: washing, claying, polishing for defect removal, polishing for pop, protecting).

There are *LOTS* of great products out there (WAAAY more than Meg's & Mom's). I would encourage folks to try several and stick with what they understand, think yields the results that they demand, and what works best for them...

Wow there is people out there that use mothers. I wasnt sure because almost all the threads on here talk about megs. I just drove 90 miles today to pickup some synwax at pepboys. No place around here carries it.

Personally in my detailing business I use Poorboys World products, along with a few Malco products. Easier to order on line than go 30 miles for the pro line of Megs.

95% here use Megs? That might be a bit high for the OCD'ers

There are many folks that use the DC 3 step products however Megs does make a ton of products, some are great some not so great. Just like any line.

Rock hit it on the head. There are many brands out there. The trick is proper prep and proper application.

No one product line has everything you need...so my advice is to know a few lines very well.

Personally I put Mothers in the same class of products as the Megs DC system. They are pretty similar. If I had to pick one over the other, I would take Megs.

Not to offend anyone here but if you don't have a machine for correction, pads to compliment that product and machine/pad/product matched to the correction needed for the surface, it won't really matter what product you use...you'll get the same results. At that point, it comes down to correction vs conceal vs making it worse.

Hope that came out right...hicup....

How do you like malco products?? I darn sure don't need to buy anything more anytime soon but the detaildepot right down the street from me carries malco.

sorry havnt rechecked ths thread. I really liked the car wash, but I cant remember what it was called. Its the strongest of their liquid car wash products. We also use the Pink Mist window cleaner, leather treatment, prep sol, sealant, and some other products I cat remember right now. I have switched to Poorboys World products do to the help on product usage I get from them. It also keeps me from buying more product off the MALCO truck than I need.
