I have heard you can use ice or dry ice to remove gum from carpet.

If it is a a floor mat take it out as soon as possible, squirt it with a hose, spray some APC + on it and scrub it with a carpet brush. I did that the other day with someone's car I was detailing. They came home and their kid had just got in their car and tracked gum on the rug of the car I wasn't detailing. It worked very well. You could always try just straight APC+ on the gum spot and scrubbing the spot vigorously.

If the ice doesn't work, get some Sprayway Gum Remover.

Goo-b-gone works but test a small area first for color fading
