Anybody know much about using a clay bar? I have never used one before and am looking for some advice/help/tips.

Use only half of the bar at a time, if you drop it throw it away, no questions asked. Keep your surface very well lubricated will a quik detailer like megs's.

Oh and i'm sure your about to drown in clay bar advice from some highly skilled individuals

Judging by your question you haven't read the detailing sticky. I highly advise you to do so as a lot of your questions will be answered there.

As FX41 mentioned, cut divide your clay bar into two pieces, that way when you accidently drop one you have another piece to work with. NEVER pick up your clay bar after it falls on the ground and apply it to your paint again, just throw it away.

Knead the clay a bit and make it flat. Apply a lubricant such as Meguiar's Quick Detailer to a small area and use the flat clay bar on the paint gently. After the clay gets dirty, knead it again and keep on truckin'. When the bar gets too dirty get another piece.

Don't mean to hi-jack, but is there a bigger size than 2 oz? Where can you buy this stuff in bulk?

Go check out ADS for a clay bar: http://www.autodetailingsolutions.co...-clay-bars.htm

I would suggest getting the meguiars mild blue clay bar, unless you have some serious overspray or oxidation. I know that Meguiars makes good products but I can't tell you anything about clay magic as I haven't ever used it, but I suggest to buy a Megs clay bar and lube.
