There is a video Mike Phillips from Meguiar's put out on how to properly use ScratchX. From what i've seen over at Meguiarsonline.com most problems with ScratchX is user error (me included). You have to put A LOT of passion behind the pad to get it to work, and it can sometimes take multiple applications of it. Here is a link of good info on ScratchX.

SX doesn't work too well on newer Ford BC/CC, at least in my experience. It is about on par with M09 (Meguiar's least aggressive professional cleaner), and I need M83 to get the swirls out of my paint.

 

even on my 97- I have some light scratches near the fuel door. Scratch X did nothing. I did the procedure they illustrate on that link 3 or 4 times. They arent deep. You dont really see them well. But I know they are there.

I just think thats one example of a product that Meg's makes that is a relative failure. Sorry, just my opinion
