Alright so I finished the van! Turns out the year was 1974. I followed the procedure I intended which was:
Wash
Clay
Color X
and m21

I just want to say that color X worked amazing! I am sure there would have been even more of a drastic visible change if it were a color other than white with a mint green stripe. Here are some pictures and by the way the owner was very pleased.

Before

The two spots on hood that were clayed yesterday

Afterward I forgot to take pictures so I took a few snap shots at the gas station while driving it back and then a few at his house. These photos do not do the van justice as they looked a lot better in person. Also there were spots of rust on the van which we could do nothing about. So here are the few pictures that I could get

It doesn't look too amazing but it looks a lot better if you compare it to before

It was definitely a new item for me since it was my first SS and overall I was fairly impressed with myself as was the owner. Not the greatest color either but hey it was an experience

It was pretty cool how well the color x worked. It also exposed some of the imperfections in the paint once we used it, but I think it looks a heck of a lot better with its color restored now.

Aw now you killed it for me, I was going to get a the mint green stripe on my truck with a pink pin stripe. Then on my way there, stop and get some polyester, hooray!
