Got a new toy
I know, prolly doesnt belong here, but w/e
Its a Leer Campershell... Unfortunately, I have to get it painted (its white on a silver truck... NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!), but I will get pics up ASAP.
I had just installed strobes in the cargo light a week ago, too...
But now I have an LED 3rd brake light, extra storage (regular cabs suck), and a whole new look. I cant wait to put new strobes/LEDs in the back of this thing.... It remotely looks like the local PD (they use white expeditions with grillguards...I have a silver F150 with a grillguard, and now a shell), so that should help when moving traffic for going to the FD...
Anywho, I have to go back to work... Will get pics up ASAP. Prolly painting it in the next few days. Cant stand it not matching...
I just realized that I wont be able to wax it for 60-90 days after I get it painted... ARGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since I am moving to Seattle, space will be a commodity. I am going to need rain-proof storage for the important things (read: some of the detailing goodies are going), then I'd like protection for my bikes (Trek 5200 and a Iron Horse Warrior).
I know, it looks goofy. I dont like it either. But its an investment. For a brand new Leer Shell, installed, it was ~$550. that same amount of $ will not get you far in real estate in Seattle.
Besides, I have a regular cab, so theres no back seat... Air mattresses are cheap...

I doubt he died... probably broke his left arm
If you look close (I watched it like 8 times!) you'll see he barely catches the edge of the roof. I think it pretty much just crushed the driver door but not the entire cab.

At approximately 3 PM, Tuesday, July 2, a 2008 Dodge Ram 2500, pulling
a new travel trailer, hit the corner of the Texas State Bank Drive-In
on Tenaha Street, causing the complete awning to come to the ground.
Luckily, the driver of the Dodge, Mickey Miller, of Garrison and his
10 year old son were able to exit their vehicle uninjured.
According to Miller he was circling the bank to park on the other side
when the corner of his travel trailer caught the corner of the bank
awning. Next thing he heard was a rumble as the awning started falling
against his driver's side door. Somehow he was able to unbuckle the
seat beat and exit the other side of his truck as it was falling.
Mark Ivy of Texas State Bank stated that the main lobby would be open
for business while the drive-in is being repaired.
