Key scratch

I need to know what I can try to use to remove a key scratch on my truck. It looks like someone went down the front fender and door with a key or it may have happened pulling into a garage. It was there when I purchased it. The scratch is deep enough to see in sunlight and you can barely feel it with your fingernail. I've tried Meguiars Scratch X but didn't help. I thought about taking it to a paint shop to have it buffed but would like to try to remove it myself. Any help is appreciated.

If you can't feel it with your finger than Scratch-X should be able to remove it.

Generally the rule of thumb is that if you can feel it with your finger nail than it's going to need paint to make it right.

scratch

You CAN feel it with your finger nail just a bit. Can this be touched up with tough up paint and wet sanded down then buffed, or should I just take it to a paint shop to have it painted?
