I'm just curious about what oddball products you guys have come across, or have formulated yourself. Seems all the detailing shops I run across often use some sort of obscrure brand stuff or something they have made to a personal recipe.

Is the stuff they use really that much better than is available to us or are they just using stuff that they can buy cheaper and/or in bulk, easier to use or ?

Is there a conspiracy to keep the "really good stuff" out of our hands?

Inquiring minds want to know.

 

As far as this goes you will probably end up with a ton of different answers for the "really good stuff". I personally like the poorboys line after having been guided towards it by some mysterious voice on this forum.....
As far as "homemade" stuff the only one I do is a 50/50 blend of rubbing alcohol and water. It makes a great window cleaner no streaks. The only down fall to it is that it does not work well on removeing heavy water spotting.
