Tire Gloss Question.
or send it through the forum....
I'll pass along this little tip and I am not sure its the truth our not but it does make sense. When working with chrome wheels, make sure they are not HOT like after driving....I was told by my wheel guy when I cleaned them to do so either in the morning when cool or at ambient temp but not while hot.
Absolutely correct, but maybe not for the reason most folks might think. If you apply almost any product to a hot surface, you risk immediately "flashing off" some of the more volatile components and / or baking on others. When I'm washing the chrome 20's on my truck after I've driven it, I make sure to spray the wheels (and rotors) until they're cool to the touch. If I don't, I've found that i bake all sorts of stuff back on.
