Cleaning engine???

I went mudding and cleaned majority of the truck. Now I want my engine spotless. My neighbor used this stuff on my wheels (he didn't know the name of it either), but you sprayed it on and let it sit for a few seconds, then sprayed it off. All of the dried on mud and dirt just washed away. In my engine I can't scrub it, so I need something safe for it that I can just spray on and hose off. What can I / should I use???? Thanks

I use Simple Green full strength on a slighty warm engine. Other use Meguiar's APC, I've never used it so I can't comment on it.

I understand why people get tired of repeating the same things now. Put since its the middle of the week, which means almost weekend, I will be kind. Use super degreaser and or apc. agitate with brush. gently wash off with water (optional). use hyperdressing. or you can use cd2, http://www.midwayautosupply.com/p-21...5-oz-4516.aspx
