#80 is going to take care of most of your problems. If you need something a little more aggressive, get some #83 also. It's a little bit more difficult to use with the DA but it can be done. #9 is more of a swirl 'consealer' than swirl 'remover' but it has its place. As far as wax goes, I like the #21-#26 combo.

don't forget about hyperdressing!

Ya use 80 with the DA, because I tried it by hand and induced swirling. I don't think I was quite experienced enough to do it by hand. I'm not gonna use it until I get a DA.

Save yourself some money and bu7y it here instead. Much cheaper than paying for the Megs name on it.

Or go here and buy one of there kits.

Yes, but you not only get the Megs name, you get a lifetime warranty.

The G100 is discontinued anyway, if you want that particular machine you have to buy the 7424.

Agreed, great value. However all of us that have the G100s just got boned. Rick at ADS told me that if we have problems with our G100s they are going to give us a G110 with only a 1 year warranty. I'd go with the 7424 though, Porter Cable has good customer service.

I'm pretty much going to agree with this whole post. Very good advice. Three more products that I'd invest in that aren't in the Meguiars line are products from Poorboys. I promise you won't be disappointed. Go with the Black Hole, EX Sealant, and Wheel Sealant. Honestly, I think Poorboys is a step above Meguiars but that's not to say Meguiars is garbage. I use a lot of their stuff. This is my full detail routine on my dark colored vehicles. Wash, Clay, #80 with the DA (Until it's perfect), Black Hole (It's a Pure Polish so it's going to make it "POP!"), EX Sealant (Let it cure for 12 hours, it's going to lock in that finish), and than top it with #16. But since #16 is discontinued you can use #26.

I was a long time Meg's user and still do use some of their products as there are no others at this point that i have found that work how i want.
However I have switched over to manily Poorboys products at this point. Very easy to use and remove.

The Black Hole is NOT a polish it is a glaze.
And i quote from Steve himself.

yes it's a true glaze, just work it with a finishing pad at speed 1 or 2 until the shine comes through..let it haze , and buff it off.

I've been told a glaze and pure polish are the same thing.

Professional Polish is the best and most versatile polish available. It is an awesome Paint/Clearcoat cleaner, Metal polish, and super on Glass, Plastic, Headlight Covers, and Plexiglass. Professional Polish is body shop safe and contains no Wax or Silicones. It's perfect as the final preparation before application of a wax or sealant.

Poorboys Black Hole Show Glaze for Dark Vehicles is a wipe on, let it haze, and then buff off product. Spread with a soft, clean foam applicator,(If applying by machine, set your polisher to a low speed) and work until a shine begins to appear. Allow it to dry to a haze and then buff off with a clean, soft microfiber towel, like our DMT’s or Mega-Plush towels.

Who said anything about "Professional Polish"? I'm talking about a pure polish. Regardless it doesn't make much of a difference.

Polish and glaze are two seprate items regardless. Pro or Pure in name it's still the same.

Agreed, I go directly thru Poorboy's.

www.PoorboysWorld.com

PS: Richard, I still don't see the difference between the two. You can call them as you like but they still do the same thing. Black Hole is to be used right before a sealant and/or wax. Just like the description of the Professional Polish you posted. Black Hole also does not contain any wax etc. I'm going to have to agree to disagree here. I'd say they are pretty much the same thing.
