Depending on if you like the shiney look, I like using Meg's Hot Shine Foam. I like the look, and very low sling. You can also try hyperdressing, as others have already recommended, if you're going more for a matte look (compared to the Hot Shine.)

Chief, go to http://www.pakshak.com/meguiars.html and since HD is not listed, email Ranney, and ask him if he can get it. He's on the big island as well and a heck of a nice guy. He might even let you pick it up to save shipping cost. Im gonna fly out to hawaii soon and meet him. He seems like a great guy to hang out with. Aloha

Gators,

Thanks for the tip. I emailed the site and used the name you gave me so hopefully I will hear back from them soon.

Aloha!
Bill

This is eagle one wet, applied with a tire swipe, 3 coats and still looks that good after 3 days fo raid and driving. the side steps look just as good as when i did them. FWIW i found my new favorite (inexpensive) trim coating.

BTW, my truck is a 1999 and has lived in NY winter salt all its life, the trim before the eagle one was this...
this pic was taken a year ago.

here are the pics of my truck after the detail 3 days ago.

If you want the "glass" look, I think the Megs Hot Shine gel is as greasy as anything you can buy in retail stores. I put it on with an Eagle One swipe, then buff it in with a rag because I don't want it as glassy looking as it goes on - and this helps keep it from slinging off too.
