Clay bar or Liquid Clay Bar?

Never heard of Claying until visiting here, so now you all have sparked a interest in this technique.

Next question is

While at the store the other day I find two products Mothers Clay bar and Turtlewax ICE Liquid Clay Bar. Couldnt find any mequires stuff.

So the question is.. is the actual bar any different then the liquid in terms of end results.

I used the liquid clay about 2 yrs ago. Didnt really care for it. Wally world should have the megs clay package. If not, the mothers should be fine. They both come with quick detailers so you got everything you need.

This is one of those cases where you should stick to the tried and true products...clay being that product to stick with.

Liquid clay products are gimics.

Try NAPA, Advance Auto Parts, or Oreileys. they should all have them.

Yep. If Wallyworld doesn't have it, try all the chain parts stores, I think I got mine at Autozone. The Mother's kit at Wallyworld will do the job fine though.

Hey bro this is your second thread on the same topic.

One of these days you'll listen to the elders.

Notice you got the same results from your question?

The Mother's Clay bar is just fine... there's nothing special about Meguiar's clay.

With the exception of 'grade of clay', clay is clay is clay (just don't dig it up in your front yard...).

Clay is definitely the way to go!

I bought my SCrew recently. It was used and had (has) some overspray on mostly the passenger side. My buddy told me about using the clay. I am really impressed with the minimal effort and maximum results it gives. After claying and waxing, the paint surface feels brand new. No more trash you can't get off by hand polishing. I purchased mine at a local auto paint shop, but saw Advance Auto has a Meguiars kit maybe a little cheaper. The brand I used was Clay Magic. Wish I would have known years ago.

As far as I can remember Clay Magic was the original clay bar, good to know they are still around. They are hard to find around these part's. I first tried them out about 20 year's ago when I got some overspray on my '84 150. To me the Clay Magic worked the best.
