I'm a big fan of Adams Polishes (http://www.adamspolishes.com). You can order everything from their website, plus they have a bunch of how to videos...

Here's the results I got from using their stuff.

Your question is extremely broad and impossible to answer. There are a million different polishes out there along with thousands of waxes.

I wouldn't say its impossible to answer. The man didn't ask "what the best wax was"! He just asked for recommendations for a polish/wax, so here is my impossible answer to that question. I use Meguiars Polish and Meguiars NXT 2.0 wax. And I polish the whole truck, then I wax it, right after it. Guys usually wait till the next day to add a carnuaba wax over the synthetic...

Is the guy doing it by hand or machine, what color is the car, what condition is the paint in, is it factory or repaint, is this being done inside or out, what will the weather conditions be where hes doing it, does he want to spend hours removing imperfections, or does he want to hide most of them, what is his skill level, what experience does he have, how much money does he want to spend? These are some of the questions that need to be answered in order to give him a proper answer. In fact, your answer of Meguiars polishes is absolutely no help to him. Do you know how many polishes Meg's makes?

Honestly bud, most of us don't have that OCD bug you all claim to have, we just like to keep our truck "clean". So my answer was vague b/c I didn't specify on a specific polish..lol.. Just get a meguiars polish, I just read the back of mine and it didn't really specify if it was an indoor polish or the temp to apply this polish or whether I'm applying it by hand or DA or the color of my truck or even my "skill level"..lol.. Its meguiars polish and it comes in a red container! Atleast thats more info/help then telling a man its an impossible question to answer..Again, most of us just want some tidbits of info, not the holy grail of detailing......

Well if your standards are low or you just dont really care, then that may be the case and thats fine, your choice. But dont assume thats how everyone else feels. Just because its a truck doesnt mean it cant/ shouldnt look better then the BMW or benz next door. And with the info you gave in this thread, the OP will never figure that out. That is why my list of questions should be answered before recommending any products.

I wasnt going to post other than my prev question, but I think it may be necessary...

If you want to go all out, follow the sticky and you will have yourself many hours of detailing fun ready for you.

If you are looking for a couple of hours of work just to make it shine more than the average car, go to the local WallyHell or Auto parts store. Get the Meguiars Deep Crystal System 3-step process. Use it. Easy, follow the directions on the bottles. (this is what Johnny has).

If you arent willing to do 3 steps but are willing to do 1 step that takes awhile, go to the auto parts store or WallyHell and get Color-X (Also by Meguiars). Follow directions on bottle.

If, however, you are looking for a 1-step EASY process, go get Meguiars NXT (it can be NXT, NXT 2.0, or you could even go for Mother's SynWax) and follow the directions. In any of the last 3 cases, your truck will look better than before, getting progressively less impressive as you read down the list.

Before I had the OCD bug like I do now, I did just the wax, then just the cleaner wax, then just the 3-step...today and yesterday I just did a full-out detail (dont worry folks, pics on the way in their own thread within 24 hours)
