#80 #9 #16 test

I tried this combo with a DA on the wifes fender. Her whole car has crazy swirls. WOW. If the dang weather would help out a little I wanna do the whole car. I did 2 passes of 80, 1 pass of 9 and a thin, thin, thin coat of 16. I would have pics but its been so cloudy you cannot tell by the pics.

So how'd it come out? What color is her car?

I use this exact procedure plus two coats of NXT + #16.

I used Megs polishing pads for the #80 and #9 and the #16 by hand.

I will get some pics as soon as the sun shows the improvement.

She has a red 2003 cavalier.

It turned out so well for a rookie I wanna do the whole car sooo bad with the added NXT 2.0

If you use NXT 2.0, the #16 should go on afterwards. You may like the look of the NXT well enough to skip it. I'd do 2 thin coats of NXT, 12 hours apart, then let it cure another 12 hours before topping it with #16 if you want to do that.

... and to add, that would be true of any sealant or synthetic...

Layering would, generally, be as follows:

CARNAUBA
SEALANT
PAINT
