Polish or cleaner

Ready for my first full detail on my black F150 FX4. I am going all Meguiars.

Do I use paint cleaner and than polish. Does cleaner take place of clay? I was going to use the cleaner/wax but this would seem to skip the polish step.

I am going with the NXT 2.0. I have been told to not use the spray but the paste instead. Any thoughts on spray vs paste.
Also, best method for removing splattered bugs?? The wash does not seem to do it?
Meguiars has a good site but not entirely clear on what to use.

NXT 2.0 (Wax) only comes in liquid or paste. Personally, I prefer the liquid but that's me. I'm not really that familiar with Meguiars consumer line of products so I'll let someone more knowledgeable answer that.

I use a Honeycomb sponge found on this page to remove bugs. The key with is to keep it very wet and lubricated.

Clay, then cleaner, then polish, then NXT. If your truck is black, you may want carnauba on top of the NXT.

You can use any commercial bug and tar remover on the bugs without harming the paint, but it does remove any wax that's already on there. Do this between the wash and clay steps.
