I talked to a detailer from this company today. He said he would do from "headlights to tail lights" for $165-$185! Opinions?
Just from skimming, it doesn't appear he discusses any of the actual products used, or processes. Maybe get more info on that stuff. It's one thing to say he'll do all the things listed, another to know how and why he does them.

Look at the testimonials... The pics make it look like he does a good job. Give him a call and find out what he uses.

BOF -- man, it's really tough. I'm not sure what to tell you. 03Mustang and Boss (and several others) are spot on with their advice and thoughts in my opinion.

There are guys that detail out of their garage (me for example) that can probably do a great job and there are guys that detail for a living that can do a great job. Furthermore, there are guys that do both of the above that will thrash your paint and leave you begging for help.

Are there any 'Florida-based' automotive forums that you could dredge for some better insight into someone that is local in your home town? Or, you could just drive up here to Kentucky.

As you know, most people are pretty straight with one another when they're talking on message boards. For this reason, I think it'd be beneficial to dredge around to see if you can find some 'local flavor' with regards to automotive enthusiasts.

Good luck, man. I don't envy you trying to find a detailer... most of us are just far enough over the top that we'd probably choose a doctor with less references than we would a detailer with the same number of references...

So all hes doing is applying a glaze and a wax. You can do that yourself by hand. That isnt going to remove any imperfections, might hide some though. I hope this isnt what he includes in the Premium package because glazes dont remove scratches or swirl marks.

Love how he says the paste wax will last for 6 months and the spray wax for 2 months.

I wouldnt call that a professional detail. Id call it a wash and wax which is something anyone can do. Why pay $200 for that? Im pretty sure I PMed you the contact info for one of the best detailers in FL. However, you have to be willing to pay for that.

I told you if you wanted your truck done to call me. I would have done more than that for way less. If you are still interested, give me a buzz, I cant do it this weekend because I am going away for work, but am open next weekend. Just trying to save you a $.

Later,

I like this guys site.........he talks about detailing cars...then at the bottom "gutter removal" so not only does he work on your cars but your gutters too!!! Sounds sketchy!

Zaino products are very highly regarded. I'd still ask to see examples of his work though.
