Is your paint in need of help? Or you just want more out of it?

Pictures and more info would help greatly.

How much do you want to spend? What kind of shape is your paint in now?

Hey there Ford4x4er, just a tip...this area of the forum is taken very seriously. Lots of people offer up their time, intellectual property if you will, advice etc.

I am sure you were just funning that that's ok too, but keep that in mind next time.

Cheers

OK, here's a detailing section OCD rewrite.

Dirty is good cause then you get to detail it again!

Definite ditto on the sticky

Its not in the best of shape its just seems bland. Its got clear coat and everything. I went to autozone to day and got some tire shine that is worth the 8$ I paid for it.
Its Meguiars NXT Generation Insane Shine
Its the white stuff out of a spray can but its a gel kinda stuff out of a can...

Mine Is a 4x2 and honestly its nto worth getting very much mud on because ti set up as a show truck...

You're gonna need to spend a whole lot more than $8 to get your truck looking like the "best" on here...

I am in the same boat.

So let me start by saying I have NO detail expereince but had to read a lot of post and ask a few questions.

As far as where to start there seems to be a loyal following of the megs pro lines... the web addy is in the sticky

A large following of Poor Boys products (dont know the website)

Then a smathering of everything else...

Another one you can check out is www.zainobrothers.com the product I went with...simply because a friend of mine has used it on his srt8 and it looked great so I wanted to try it. over the summer I am sure I will give poor boys a try as well...maybe do the wifes in one and mine in the other.

They arent kidding about cost. I ordered the largest kit from zaino with a few add on products cost me almost 250. I ordered just a basic supply of microfiber towels and it cost me 100. I ordered a buffer kit, and a few other products from detail solutions and it cost me 325 again

my wife is so going to kill me.

If you have no detailing experience, start with the Meguiars three step system, you can get it at any auto parts store. Dont use bath towels or wear any kind of jewelry when you are working. Only use microfiber applicators and towels. Once you get more experience, then you can get to doing all the higher level stuff some of the other guys on here do. Oh yea, you asked for great products. Meguairs and Mothers are the easiest to get and are at almost all auto parts stores, they are good. Better are things like Zaino, Klasse, Blackfire, Pinnacle, Zymol, etc, but you will pay more for those.
