That is terrible. You need to take as many pictures of that as possible. Once you have that I would go back to the body shop. Show them your truck and the pictures and demand that they fix this or pay to fix it. Go to another body shop to get an estimate if needed. This is horrible work and completely unacceptable. If they don't want to work with you, then make sure you let them know you are going to share these pictures with anyone willing to listen. If this is more than a mom and pop operation they may be registered with the BBB, I would file a complaint if so (for what that is worth). You may also want to check the local laws on small claims court. I think here the limit is $2,500, so in that case you could file a $2,000+ lawsuit against them and with those pictures, it will be hard for a judge not to side with you to some degree, especially if you are willing to settle for the cost of detailing (or the cost of estimates). Plus I think the guy from the body shop will actually have to show up in court. If nothing else you could recoup your costs of repairs.

That really sucks, but with some hard work or the right detailier, it can look good again.

ok... deer runs into the side of my truck.... they have to put a new door skin on my truck... and repaint all the stuff... well they tell me they paint it all and buff it .... well it looks like as you see... so i take it back and tell them that it really isn't right... so they then take it again and "rebuff" it... well its like you see now... but i'm guessing they "buffed" the whole truck cause the whole truck looks like this.... I know if i just keep taking it back it won't get any better.. thats why i'm resorting to whatever needs done... like i said before i'm not opposed to taking it to a professional, its just there are no professionals around here.

Edit:

the body shop is at the local dealership... 3 years ago... there wasn't a body shop within 50 miles that could touch them as far as quality, they were number 1..... so thats why i took it to them in the first place.... problem is.. this body work has been done for oh.... 2 months now? maybe more? its just with winter and stuff it was hard to notice and then we get a couple warm days.. and wham thats what i get.

i've been in battle with them over this and finally just accept that i'm not going to win. I really dont have the time to go through a small claims thing or anything so i'm just going to try and get it taken care of.

Yeah, I hear that. Filing a complaint with the BBB is free and you should definately look them up at the least. If they have a decent rating, they will want to keep it that way and will come to a resolution with you. If I were you I would at least do that. And good luck finding a detailer, you'll have it back good as new before you know it.
