The car washes around here would never do that just with water pressure. if you slipped, maybe the tip scratched it. regardless, it happened, i hate that. Hope they do a nice repair job.

On the up side to this when it goes into the shop in two weeks I am going to have them shave the badges off the truck.

This shop has done an awesome work for me in the past. Maybe the wand scratched the truck. I was just trying not to up on my butt at the time.

I slipped on the ice in the wash bay and the wand got to close to the truck and caused about 1/2x1/8 spot to be burned through the paint above the drivers side door handle. At least it will get a good bath now.

Someone has to say it...

Seriously though, hope that doesn't run you too much $$$ to fix. If you're going to shave off the badges, you might as well have them take off the handles and the tailgate badge as well!

This isnt going to cost me a dime to fix. The only thing that I am going to have to pay for is the labor to remove the badges. I wish I had the cash to have the door and tailgate handles done. Thanks for the idea I might do that when I have it payed off in a coulpe years.

The badges have guide holes. I'm assuming you're getting those filled/painted?

Yeah, I was mad when I found out as well. Atleast it makes sure they're relatively straight from the factory.

I don't know who I trust to duplicate my color, so I haven't done mine yet.

I am having mine done at the dealer and they have a pretty decent painter there. I had to have the front valance done on 03 S-10 Xtreme that was black and you couldnt tell they repainted it or repaired it.
