Zaino for fine swirls and scratches
spray detail
Zaino Polish for clearcoat

Zaino polish for clearcoat

just like Zaino suggests..... now what are your all's opinion on Zaino? Any luck? Results good or bad?

I have never used it myself, but I can assure you, it is a VERY durable system. It will produce quality results, and I am sure you will be impressed.

The only downfall is that you are going to have to do a LOT of layering and QD'ing. This system is typically a "do it right or it wont work right" type of deal, thus the steps must be completed in order, with the proper everthing...

I did notice that you didnt have any wax on your list. However, I suspect that where you used the word "polish", it should be a wax. Note that the Zaino wax is a Synthetic (do they also have a Carnauba topper?), thus the 2 layers will help your durability IF (and only if) you follow the directions to the t.

Do a search-- Z has been discussed here a bunch, and you will find some rather impressive pictures of some vehicles detailed with the Zaino System.

I have used it in the past but it seemed like way to much work. It gives great results, shine ,reflection, and durability. I just think when I used it they did not have the Z AIO, Z PC or CS yet.. Do you have the ZFX if not you are not going to get a good bond with the paint. The ZFX allows you to apply 3 coats in 24hours. The other thing I really don't like is the price 15 dollars for a 8 ounces bottle. that is just to rich for my blood know that I have kids. And last way to much work wash ,clay, wash, polish, spray gloss enhancer, polish, spray gloss enhancer, polish, spray gloss enhancer. Just my 2 cents. I use Meguiar's stuff further down in the care detailing section look for detailed 99 f150. all Meguiars stuff.

Zaino makes great stuff. If you like the look, and don't mind spending the extra bucks, I think you'll be pleased.

My opinion, if you have dark colors to work on, it does well. My neighbor used it on his Black Infinity....he loved it, but he was OCD like me.

Boss has said this before and I will echo it...the key is to really understand 1 maybe 2 lines and use it...really know it. You cannot know every line, Zaino, Megs, ClearKoat, Menz, Poorboys etc....you will find things you love about each and you'll find some dawgs too.

Get it done and lets see some results.

Cheers

Can you tell the difference in a good guitar and a bad one?

Good ones sound better and are easier to play right?

Short answer. Yes.

Check Ebay, I see NIB PC7424's all the time with shipping for 110 bucks.

here's one...I have bought 2 from this guy..

I went Zaino on my '03 Cobra, and to me it's a mixed bag.

For the record, I did:

Wash with dawn.
Claybar.
Rinse.
Z-2
Z-3
Z-5
Z-3
Z-5
Z-6

I did it all by hand. I don't think I'd use any mechanical units with this system.

The good. Man, I can see myself in the car. I did this when I got it, back in '04 (new). Since then it has been garage kept, never driven in rain or bad weather (it's a convertible!), and probably washed every 100 miles driven (ok, it's my baby), so it's pampered. That said, the shine still looks as good as the day I got it, and the water still beads like the day I got it. I only wash with Zaino car wash.

Really, the mirror finish on my black car is amazing. As good as a perfect wax job, almost 4 years later!

The not sure: I have two small scratches on the passenger side, and two small rock nicks on the hood. I have an impression, but can't prove it, that wax would have protected better in both cases. Zaino is really thin on the finish, that's part of how it works so good.

The bad. Time. I think a Z-3, Z-5, Z-3, Z-5 is the minimum, and from their information more Z-3, Z-5 cycles will make it even better. Time you add the **** wash, claybar, Z-2, you're going to be investing probably 8-10 hours minimum in the finish. For a show car, it's a no brainer. For my pampered baby, it's slightly obsessive.

For my F-150 daily driver, not a chance in he**.

I found a good local detailer and pay him to do good old mothers carnuba on my F-150 daily driver that racks up the miles and sits outside.

Just my $0.02.

I am giving up on the Zaino. I do not like the fact it goes on so thin you can't even see it, and then you have to put a coat on top of it. I love their interior stuff.

There is no need to do all these multiple coats of Zaino of this one and that one and then this one.

Z8 is the key...

Decide which "Z" you like better... Z2 or Z5 (or one of each).

Deep clean and remove any defects with the polish(s) of your choice.
Finish prepping your paint with Z-PC.
Put on two coats of either Z2 or Z5 (or one of each).
After each wash, use the Z8.
If you get the urge, put on an occasional coat of Z2 or Z5.

It will look great, and last a long time.

Most people make the Zaino process much more difficult than it really is. Because of all the fine products Sal makes, everybody wants to mix and match all of them... it's not necessary.

Keep it simple.

very good process for almost any vehicle.

if you are looking to do a 1000 point show car, you probably aren't using Z anyway.

Just because Sal makes 100 products, doesn't mean you have to use them all at the same time

I use Zaino and have not waxed since the summer and there is still some durability left!
I washed , clayed , Z5 with ZFX then Z2 with ZFX and use Z8 QD.
Not that hard of a process. I even do the windows with it, better than rain-x.
Z5 fills in some VERY minor swirls , Z2 doesnt. All the ZFX is approx 3 drops into an ounce of Z5 or Z2 to help it cure faster. The Z8 QD just makes it pop. Expensive but worth it. Z8 after each wash and it looks amazing.....
