that would be new to me...I have seen some sponges that my tile guys use, personally they would never touch my finish. I use only Chenille or MF on my truck for washing.

A good car soap, water and good protection from the start are keys to maintaining a good finish.

I could be wrong if I don't know what a grout sponge is.

People on autopia swear by them..they say they release particles in the water better than chenile or MF..i use chenile right now...coupled with a grit guard some say it is the best option...just didnt wanna go gamble on my finish just like you said..exceldetail carries them and also you can get them at home depot and supposedly they are the best thing since sliced bread.....but i dont eat that much bread so........

I just tried a grout sponge with ONR the other day. It worked pretty well but takes a while to get used to. Usually I just use a chenille mitt.

This has been around for a while... In fact, I think we discussed it here once previously.

I'll stick with the tried and true...

I used one. I ended up cutting it in half and made two pretty nice applicators for tire gel.

I may get more just for that purpose. That's a buck a piece for a tire applicator... pretty cheap.

Wow BOSS good idea you just gave me. I have been trying to find a way to apply Hyperdressing in the "wind" so i dont' have to QD the entire truck....with the grout sponge I can cut to fit my tires....

Sweet....

I have this cool tool for crown molding that will use on the tire, then mark the sponge on how to cut it to fit exactly on the tire.

I bought one a few months ago and used it a few times. It worked ok but I still prefer a really good sheepskin mitt from Excel Detail.

That's where I get mine... from Patrick. I get the EXTRA plush ones when he has them in stock.

I've heard a bit of chit-chat about this particular mitt... I'll have to give them a try once I've burned through my stash of SW Arnold mitts (which I *love*).

Agreed 100%. The grout sponge stays with my tiling equipment.

The MF stays with my detailing equipment.
