Lesson of the day:

So I am out in the garage working on the truck.

I have already washed, and now claying. Well...actually been claying for 2 hours.

Using shop lights to show my way.

The lesson:
OLD PRODUCT BUILD UP

Wow, my paint really needed to be clayed. Under the lights, my paint looks TERRIBLE.

Just wanted to share, going to be a long night.

Slow night in there so I am replying to my own post. (a new low for me)

what does old product build up look like?

I am way tired and far from from finished. My paint was worse off then I had thought. I actually had to sit and think about product and pad combinations and then resorted to testing.

After i figured out what my plan was, I got started. Been working on the truck since 5:30 and now its 12:47 and I am done for the night.

Here is a shot under the lights after a lot of work. Surface does not have wax on it.

I am anxious to see it in the daylight in the morning.
Cheers

Sounds like someone had a long evening... VERY worth it, though...

Man, you remember the sap from your trees? Where I have to park over the next 10 days is lined with these, and there is NO escaping them... I have had to go by the gas station on the way home to clean the glass... There will be a couple of washes done in the next week. ARGHHH!!! I HATE SAP!
