Best dash cleaner?

Whats the best dash/interior cleaner? I keep seeing Meguiars Quick detailer mentioned, but is that good for cleaning. My dash etc is quite dirty with dirt and dust into the 'grain' on the dash and is tough to remove. So what will lift it outta there. And what should I follow up with?

Thanks,
Steve.

I prefer Meguiars Quik INTERIOR detailer-- that's the one for dashes (aka: QID)

Yes, it will lift the dust, but it may take a few passes. Personally, I like to use cheap MF towels (like the ones from Sams or WalMart) for this task-- nothing to ruin, they are great at preventing crap from going wrong, nice and soft...

Anyway, let us know if you have any more questions.

I just recently started using megs quick interior detailer. I really like it.

I know it's supposed to be bad.....but...when I have something that's really on there (like when the ocational girl with put their friggin feet on the dash!) STP interior seems to clean really well for me.

Whew! Ouch... I cant see myself EVER using STP... A bit harsh, dont you think?

Also, how long does it take the smell to go away??? Seems like that would be reason enough to not use it...

But at any rate, you need not mention STP here ever again.

Meg's D-Line APC+ at 10:1 ratio i think would be your best bet...it is very versatile for the interior..it will clean well i think..it will also take off layers of old dressing and leave a matte finish..um..or no finish at all that would be my recommendation..but these guys are better than me

Some folks may think I'm crazy but try Pledge.

Specifically; Pledge Clean & Shine (Anti-Dust Formula) in the Orange can.

I read about it in another forum and tried it. Works great on black and dark colors; plus it dries almost instantly but still looks wet.

Cleans beautifully, leaves a dark wet look, and whever it gets dirty again, just pull out another McDonalds napkin from the glovebox and wipe. No need to reapply like the others (such as Mr. Pledge guy up there )

On a serious note, about the above. The fumes of this product will vaporize and leave stains on your glass. It "may" work but you are asking for more work by using this product.

Better bet would be to take the advice from above and use APC+ then follow it with some Hyperdressing...allow to sit, then wipe down.

But that's just me.

Call me crazy, but I use Swiffer cloths. They pick up all the dust and don't leave any residue. Now, if you've got all sorts of crud stuck to your dash (and I don't want to know how it got there or what it is), you've got a different problem.

Gotta ask on this one... 'stain the glass'? What?

BTW, fumes are already in the 'vapor' form. Sorry... I'm in air permitting mode right now. Mind you, I'm sitting at a 1000-facility right now working on Large Appliance Surface Coatings Hazardous Air Pollutants Maximum Achievable Control Techology (LASC HAP MACT) stuff.
