I never thought about it -- and god knows we don't want RollingRock to crawl up our butts -- but, Peroxide might be a good trick. I'd test it in an inconspicious place before going to town on the leather.
My only worry with it is that it could compromise the coating on the leather (the protective stuff that is on top of it -- kind of like a clearcoat for automotive leathers). That's not true on all leathers but, for most, it is. (ie: non-analine leathers).
If that doesn't work, report back.
