Painting my 05 F150

Not sure if this thread should be in care in detailing but i figured someone would know. I have a 2005 f150 fx4 4 door short bed (5.5 ft) and was just wondering how much it would cost for a full paaint job of black. Here's a picture so you can get a better understanding. Thanks =).

To answer the question, a REAL quality paint job that will last- and look good will likely run $1,500 (maybe more) or so. I would think it could vary by a fair amount based on region though, so I could be off.

For a good paint job you are looking at probably closer to $3000.00 considering you are re-spraying the same color and they won't have to edge in under the hood and spray the door jambs.

Notice I used the term "Good". Now if you are looking to totally change colors, have everything edged in, door jambs re-sprayed, color sanded and buffed out to a mirror finish when they are done you could be easily looking at over $5k.

I can only imagine you are looking to change colors seeing as it is an 05 so expect to spend some coin for a decent job. IMHO it would be less costly to trade the truck for a black one, than to re-paint an 05 just to change colors, and while I do love the look of a clean Black truck, I would not spend the money on a simple black paint job. I would prefer something with some metal flake in it to give it a bit more depth.

I would figure in upwords of 5k, depending on body work.
