Hello, new F150 owner with a boring question as a first post. I frequently travel a muddy and deeply rutted road to our camp resulting in much mud in and out of my vehicles. I purchased a 2003 F150 XLT Flareside FX4 this past weekend and would like to do something to protect the cloth floor mats.

Any suggestions for rubber after-market floor mats will be greatly appreciated.

Walmart.... the deep tread grey rubber mats hold everything in, including water from melted snow. They also come in clear.

 

Sounds perfect for where I live and will even match the grey interior on my truck. Are they sized specific to different vehicles or are they one size fits all?

 

I have the Xtreme Catch All Plus 1 piece in my front...and Xtreme Catch All 1piece in my back seat. They were 160 total from 4wheelparts. Another great brand is Huskey Liner..they are 2 piece models and comparable in price. Weathertech makes probably in my opinion the best floormats but are more expensive. If these are not in your budget...walmart has just some 30 dollar floor mats that i have heard some people say are just as good if not better for their purpose on floor mats. Hope i could be of some help

 

I'd really like to have some of those nice ones like the xtremes but too much change for me. I think I paid about $30 for the two Wal-Mart ones I have. have tan ones in the truck and grey ones in the car. Had them in my old truck as well. They don't look as well or cover as well but for the price....

My old pair lasted 180,000 miles and 8 years.

x2. Although the walmart ones look cool with the "Built ford Tough" and logo, they dont trap grime worth a flip... The weathertechs do.

Are you after looks more, and dont mind cleaning them more often, or are you after rugged durability with low maintenance. If you want the low maintenance, and need more function than style, go with the WT's.

 

Another vote for weather tech, works great.

 

I had the Carpet Catch-Alls and switched to the Weather Techs and I cannot say how happy I am with these mats!

I hear great things about WT too...however money is a bit tight for me as well. I have a set from Costco, pretty cheap (less than 27 bucks) and they can hold 2 qts of water (thats 2 nalgene bottles)....I tested it.

So if you're lookin for a quick solution...well, there it is.

Those aren't the ones I'm talking about, the one's I'm talking about are solid grey and match the grey carpet perfectly and have real deep tread, the deepest I've ever seen in any floor mat, and they fit in the heritage body style perfect. Unfortunately, I can't find a automotive section on Walmarts website to show them to you and am too lazy to go out and take pics of mine right now. Mine have lasted through my 98, 2000, 2003, and 2004 truck and are still kickin'.

 

I stopped by the local Wally World - no deep tread grey rubber mats. I want functional rubber mats and don't care what they look like but I do want to get them before the weekend.

Are the weather tech's sold in any brick 'n mortar stores?

 

Never seen them in a store, even at my local Cabelas. They ship fast.

Your UPS guy will want them...he wanted mine...I ordered 2 sets in less than 12 months. One for each of my trucks...best thing to do is call them and see what they can do for you.
