Yeah- I know-- The ones I am talking about do NOTHING, and if I could go back in time, I would not have gotten them. They slip and slide around, and are about the size of a carpet sample, not to mention they hold NO dirt. But they do look cool.

I do know the wallyworld grey ones you speak of... I go to the auto section about 1x per week and head straight there, then get whatever I need from elsewhere in the store... I seem to know that section bettre than the employees...And I frequently find myself helping out people looking at waxes and such...

 

I've got to put in a plug for Fox Weatherboots. I put a set in my '05 a couple of years ago based on some posts here. These aren't rubber, but molded plastic. They could probably hold a gallon of water if you tried. Oh yea, and they neatly drain out the door sill too. Absolutely awsome.

I have the gray ones from Costco. They hold a significant amount of water, which works for me as I am always bringing in a lot on my feet and sneakers from launching and retrieving on the boat launch

 

My personal experince with the WT, they are cut so if you drop a ton of water in them, just open the door and bye bye liquid.

 

I may have to seriously look into getting those, thats a convenience that works for me

 

They work great for mud,snow,sand and even drinks. lol Worth every dime. Very easy to clean also.

 

i'll have to say the weather tech's or the fox weatherboots are good investments. especially when you go to sell your truck. i clean a truck with the fox weather boots and the ones for the back velcro together. i have noticed that the velcro has started to peel off. i am not sure what the design is like with the weather techs but it would be nice with a singe piece mat for the back seat. maybe there is one??

 

I have the weather techs also and they seemed a bit steep in price at first but let me tell you in the long run much cheaper. they are a good investment! Others fail long before these will and in the end big $$$$ in replacement mats.
My Dad used to say buy cheap buy twice. Damn I miss him

I've ordered a set (1st & 2nd row) of the WeatherTech Floor Liner in grey for the F150 and a set of the Side Window Deflectors for SHMBO's 2007 Ford Explorer.

Now...let's see how long they take to get here.
