Mud stains embedded in clearcoat HELP???

To make a long story short , I had both front/rear doors, and front fender painted about 1 1/2 months ago cause someone keyed the side of my truck pretty bad. I went mudding last weekend and got food poisining the next day so I didn't wash the mud off right away and it sat in the sun for a few days with the mud on it. Anyways; when I washed it off everything washed off good where the factory paint was, but where it had been repainted it left like clear outlined mud spots embedded in the paint and I couldn't scrub it off. I tried going over it again with the brush but it only left little scratched in the paint so that pissed me off even more.

I bought some Turtle Wax Rubbing compound (went over 1st) & polishing compound (after rubbing comp) but it only added swirls and more dull scratches to the area. The only thing I can think of is taking it to a pro and seeing if he can buff it out or something.

Has anyone ever experienced this or know what I can do to fix????????

Try claying then go with cleaner wax, mother cleaner wax works great, hopefully that will work. If not, try going with a swirl removing kit from autogeeks.net to remove the swirls and help the finish.

Ouch! Both of those are unnessesarily harsh. I have and have used both, and I don't reccommend them unless you're removing EXTREMELY sever scratches and plan on wetsanding (because those are practically sandpaper in paste form.)

Try using a cleaner or a cleaner wax. A few good examples are: Step 1 of the DC system (Megs), Color-X, etc. Also, make sure you clay it, because I suspect that there is some that the clay will pick up.

If you don't want to mess with the hassle, a pro could very well buff it all out for you in a relatively short order. But it should be a pretty simple fix. BTW- sorry to hear that you got food poisoning. Hope you feel better now.

If you want to bring it by some evening or weekend, I would be happy to take a look at it for you.

Let Gip look at it. That's your best bet... very tough call for us sight-unseen.

Thanks, thats a nice gesture. I'm off all day tomorrow and I am supposed to bring it this shop in SW Houston Saturday so the guy can try to buff it out for (at the most $50), but if you have time before the let me know please and I can come by tomorrow or Saturday morning.
