Nope the wax basically seals the polish that you've achieved, not to mention adds to that shine.

I'm kind of wondering why its best to use a Synthetic Wax then a Carnauba Wax, does the Synthetic Wax work to add to the polish while the Carnauba works to protect? What would be the results if I was to only use a Carnauba wax after my polish?

Wax= Better looks less durability

Sealant= Less looks better duability

This was true in the past, but I think some of the new sealants look just as good as the waxes.

My thoughts,

Here she is all waxed. I tried to work my pictures around the sunlight but the sun was setting so there are some pretty bright pictures.

Wow... that paint color is a welcome change from the blacks, whites, and reds that everyone else has (including me)...

Nice!

Its an interesting color to detail, when its in the shade provided by my garage it looks black, then you drive it outside and it turns all purple and grey-ish and gives off a nice shine.

Looks good and please keep it that way, nothing like a great truck that looks all swirled up and nasty

Nope. Polish = increase depth and shine
Wax = protect from the elements and add a bit of gloss/depth (depth only if carnauba, gloss more in the realm of synthetic)

I do believe that if you polish (or try to) over a wax, it'll all come off in the removal step. So-- how many bottles of polish have you wasted???
