tree pitch

Need help.. should I use the turtle wax brand tar and tree pitch remover on my black truck??
Don't want to screw the paint up or dull it.

Use hot water, will probably take some wax off but so will all the other solvents!

While I've never used the TW version, it'll probably be adequate. It will remove wax and thus, plan on re-waxing the area after you've removed it.

Allow the chemical some 'dwell' time on the problem.

If you want a chemical that I have experience with, try Stoner's Tarminator or Meguiar's Body Solvent. DO NOT SCRUB to remove these spots... let the chemical do the work. Use only very nice microfiber towels or a high-pile 100% combed cotton towel. Again, allow the chemical to do the work!
