Engine clean
Engine clean
Just wondering what one would use to clean the engine area. Unfortunately, I let my wife use my truck for the day. I told her to check the oil and well she forgot to put the cap back on. Now, I have oil splatter in my engine area, around the battery............ What would I use to clean this?
There have been several posts about this.
Anyways, I would use some full strength Simple Green. Spray it on, let it sit for a few minutes, spray some more, maybe use a scrub brush, then use a gentle stream of water to rinse off. Follow the directions in the manual on what not to spray.

Here's a third for Simple Green at either full concentrate or 1:1 for oil. By saying "Simple Green", I mean "Simple Green". Many other degreasers out there will have products in the mix that may pit or corrode aluminum products. As such, I *only use* the original Simple Green (I buy it by the gallon at Meijer's).
