Cool Do i seal before wax? :( rookie question...

Well, I have to ask. I wash, dry, clay, seal, then wax or wax and seal. I have heard both, i think. And will wolfgane (sp?) sealant jive with meg's gold wax? thx...

In that combo, I'd forgo the Meg's Gold Class. It won't add much - if anything - to your mix.

But, to answer your question, I'd top with the Gold Class if you insisted on going with both products.... again though, I'd go two coats of Wolfgang and call it off.

Cool. So do you ever wax ontop of a sealant? I am assuming that I have a 'budget wax' correct? Is the NXT a better choice? And I guess the paste is no better than the liquid...

Well... sealant is a generic term - for the most part. The paradigm seems to be shifting towards a 'sealant' being a synthetic (for the most part) whereas a wax is leaning more towards a 'natural-based' wax.

The theory is to not really layer a synthetic on top of a natural because of the bonding that occurs with most synthetics. If there's a layer of natural in the way, it may prevent the synthetic from bonding.

NXT is a synthetic.

Lastly I'll add that typically a natural wax is put on top of the synthetic (as a 'topper') for depth and overall luster as synthetics do tend to yield more of a 'glassy' look versus a warm and deep look. Of course, this is subjective but, on a dark vehicle, it's pretty hard to discount.

Couldn't tell you that one... I can, however, confirm that Wolfgang products are generally respected within the industry as is autogeek.net.
