Meg's #5,6
Meg's #5,6
Rockpick I saw these meguiars products the other day at a NAPA dealer. I was wondering if u ever used them and what's your opinion. I can't remember if it was #5, or 6. They also have #7. What is the difference in that stuff and the #1,2,3 step process that advance auto has. Is there any pro's or con's in using either or. I'll be applying all by hand as I haven't purchased a PC yet. Thanks for any help
This weather is killing me. It's been raining it seems forever and has been cold. When it finally breaks this weekend, I have to work. Hmmm I might have to get sick hehe. That's bad isn't it calling off sick to detail your truck.

#6 is a Cleaner Wax -- I don't have much experience with this product. Can't really help you out here.
#5 & #7 is a pure polish... not a boat load of difference between these two products except for -- and this is from memory -- #7 is an oilier product and thus, can be used more effectively in a drier environment.
I particularly like #7 on DARK paint. It really deepens and darkens (because it's fairly oily). #7 does not offer any protection to your paint and is more of a 'look good' step.
In the 3-step process, this is the equivalency of the #2 step -- kind of.

Thanks Rockpick. I'll try the #2 the first time, then when I do another detail I'll try the #7 and see the difference. Maybe I should do half the truck in #2, and half in #7, that way I can see the difference side by side.

Goofy Meguiar's system.... they've really screwed up with their numbering and such over the years. Makes it tough to follow in most people's opinions...
