Helo Maxx Rim Cleaning

I never took my rims off during the winter. I have keep a nice coat of NXT wax on them but there is still some dirt/brake dust spots i cant get out. Does anyone have any suggestion on how to make them look new again? Maybe some sort of cleaner then wax??

Thanks!!

It seems unusual that one winter's worth of dirt/brake dust won't come off. Try a solution of 50/50 Simple Green and an old microfiber towel (old because it'll probably be trashed after wheel cleaning), keep flushing with clean water, 'cause the 50/50 SG is pretty strong; dilute it down if you don't feel comfortable with a 50/50 solution. Do a small section at a time, and keep flushing it with water.

After cleaning, you may want to try a wheel specific sealant; it applies just like wax. After the sealant, give it a few coats of wax, natural or synthetic.
You should be good to go.

Check out this brake dust thread.
