I personally like using butter flavored Crisco.

No, seriously... search around here in the General Care and Detailing forum... you'll find a PLETHORA of information.

Simply put, there's no one perfect wax. They all come with pros and cons. Some will protect longer but are much more expensive. Some will conceal swirls and scratches a bit better but might not last as long. Some will dance a jig when presented with a $5 tip, some will swing on a brass pole for the same tip. You get the idea...

Do some research and then let us know if you have questions... your question, as stated, is VERY open ended and VERY subjective.

I just did my 05 blk screw last week. I used Mothers polish, then 2 coats of Mothers Syn wax and one coat of Mothers pure Caranuba Wax. The truck looks better now then when I bought it brand new. I plan on doing another Caranuba Wax next week. I tried Nxt syn wax and loved it but in I like trying new products all the time And I think that the Mothers Syn wax is better and a lot easier to take off.

go to advanced auto and try Color-x handwax, made for darker cars/trucks. It takes away swirl marks and restores color shine pretty good. I use it on mine about every 4 washes or once a month, which ever comes first. If you hand wash your truck, buy one of the spray on waxes which are safe to use after every wash. just make sure you spray the wax on when the truck is still wet before you dry it down. spray wax each time you wash + one hand wax a month will keep your truck looking good.

I like the Meg's Carnauba wax. It leaves a nice glossy smooth shine. Especially if you follow the steps of claying it, polishing it and waxing it.

Good Luck!

Carnuuuuuuuba. Doesn't it smell just great??
I've use Mother's Gold (all products) for years on my motorcycles.
When I traded in my '94 Harley for an '05 Harley, the dealer couldn't believe it was the original pain job until I pulled off a couple of stick-on decals to show him the rock chips to the metal.:santa:

I personally like the shield and long lasting protection of Zaino it gives me an incredable shine.

But speaking of long lasting, there is this stuff..

Although I have never used it personally, I hear good things about Zaino. Even more so for black vehicles.
