I'd love to have the problems you guys do. I live in a damn apartment complex. It have to go rent a stall somewhere just to wash mine. Claybar and wax I don't think so. It's easier and not much more expensive to take it to the detail shop. When I get a house with a garage or even just a driveway, then I'll complain about my neighbors too. For now, I'm just jealous that you all have the place to wash your trucks and I have to squeeze my Screw into a carport that's barely wide enough for a Civic and I've got ricers on both sides of me.

I usually get the "Are you trying to make it rain" comment here in Kansas.

The one that gets me is "Why are you going thru that much effort, it is just a truck." Yes it is a truck, but it is my truck and although it is used for work and I put alot of miles on it, it will remain clean and neat. Although after claying the beast, and putting multiple coats of wax on, I sometimes wonder myself.

LOL!
You guys are killing me! And that bush is awesome. Wish they sold those at Home Depot, bet they'd sell like hotcakes!
Truth is I wish I had the time to wash my truck even once a week, but between my home improvement projects, my 8mo old twins, my honey-do list, work, and and the fact that my truck usually just sits in the garage most of the time, I find it hard to justify the time it takes me to do the total detail job.
The other thing is that my wife just doesn't understand the whole truck/ guy/ detailing thing. I get a lot of "are you gonna' be done pretty soon" or "gees, I thought you'd be done by now". Oh well, even my dirty Ford looks better than a clean Chevy or Dodge!

yep i know that

my neighbors watch us do yardwork, wash vehicles, etc.

One day my neighbor came over and he was like "What year is your truck?"
"It's a 2002 sir"
"WOW that paint looks good for being 4 years old!"
"What?"
"and I can't get over your wheels!"
"exucuse me?"
"They are so shiny!"
"Leave...now..go home.."

he also drives 5 under the speed limit EVERY WHERE.

its like GAWWW

Same here. I have a Porter Cable buffer, pads, polish, swirl remover, and 3 different kinds of carnauba. The only thing I don't have is time.

My wife wonders why I spend 4-5 hours cleaning my truck when I can go down to the scratch-o-matic and have it done in 20 minutes. When someone comes up to me and asks, "Thats a 97? It looks brand new", I say, That's why. It's a lot of work, but it's worth it.

I don't really have any neighbor problems, unless you count barking dogs and screaming kids.
