Invisible Bra

Was wondering if anyone had any experience with the clear tape that they now put on to protect from rock chips. For some reason I seem to get a lot of chips on the paint and would like to slow it down.Any suggestions.

Hi, I had my front bumper painted last year due to the paint starting to bubble up because of the rock chips starting to rust. I asked my painter if that clear film stuff was a good idea or not to put on the bumper and he said no. It will not follow the contours of the bumper very well and will eventually release itself from the bumper. However, if you want to put it on your hood for example then go for it because he said it only works well on flat areas. Just make sure to keep away from the edge of the film when you wax or else the edge becomes very noticable and ugly.

Leave the bra off lol, but seriously, bra covers look ugly on every vehicle, i agree dont use it on your bumper, just get it repainted.

I have a chrome bumper but I did have the bra put on the painted section just above the bumper. It works great, and can't even see it. Most applications are die cut so they fit perfectly. If you go to a GOOD SHOP you shouldn't have any problems. While mine was being done they were doing a $250K Bentley GT.
Here in Colorado they put sand on the roads in winter and it came out looking real good, no chips or pits!
Mine cost $110.
