Back-to-Black

Has anyone used this mothers back-to-black? Its for plastic or vinyl parts. I have a 97 flarside and anytime I use armor all on the plastic parts it will run down on the body when it rains and leaves a film on it till it is washed off. Just wondering if this stuff is any better.

I bought some, applied it and it looked fantastic. For about 3 days. Then it started turning white in the grain on the bed rails. I had to use the power wash at a car wash to get it out of the grain. It is fine on smooth stuff, but I will never apply it again to anything with a texture. What really annoyed me was, when I first squirted some out of the bottle, I saw it was white and wondered if that might happen, sure enough, it did.

If you use it once....you better be ready to use it twice a week for the rest of your life. Once you put that crap on there.....you have to reapply it week after week otherwise your plastic is going to look worse than when you started to put it on there.

I'd use some Black Magic Dashboard protectant or something similar. Never has failed me yet.

Its hard to keep the plastics looking good I just leave it alone. I waxed my Explorers plastics once & ahhh god.... black mirrors turned greyish sorta it was horrible.

303 Aerospace Protectant is some excellent stuff. Forumlated for heavy UV rays. I believe most places recommend this stuff for spa/hot tub tops to protect against the UV rays. I think its a bit higher than most UV protectants but worth it.
