need help old vinyl graphics

need help old vinyl graphics

ok i got bought my truck and the previos owner had put vinylgraphics on it well they were all beat up so my g/f has bright idea to start peeling them off
well now i have this big mess of old glue the same shape as the old graphics
any idea on what will take this mess off
i just lifted my truck and put new wheels and tires now all you notice is the mess left by the graphics need this stuff off so i can give truck a good wash and wax

3M General Purpose adhesive remover and a little elbow greae is what you need. It will strip wax, but since you're planning on waxing anyway, hit it!

oh she is working on it has tried everything took her about 2 hours to get the passenger side bed semi clean also found out that the adhesive has burned into paint so after all this is done may have to get new paint job

"burned" into the paint?

Do you mean that there's a halogram on the paint from where it was located or that it's caused damage to the clear?

not really a hologram but there is def damage
kinda like it was slowy eating away the paint underneath
hard to explain

The adhesive was probably very low on the pH side... continous acidic exposure will, indeed, screw the paint.

i wasnt worried to bad about it truck is all scratched up anyways its
a work play truck the thing will just catch another beating after i repaint it anyways
painter told me denatured alchol will work got can of that at other house having g/f pick it up today
when she goes up there she is going to have fun weekend
