I use the clay bar. It works great. Just don't drop it.

 

Glad to hear that it worked out okay for you. You're right... don't drop it. If you do, it's trash. No exceptions! One tiny grain of sand can cause SIGNIFICANT damage to your paint while embedded in the claybar.
