Jeez I dread this...

Oh the horror.

The driveway is covered in salt too. Better rest up, looks like the pressure washer is going to be worked overtime.

I should've taken a picture of the wife's Explorer after our trip back up I-75 yesterday... the ice was, literally, 3" thick on the front end... I just went to the wand wash yesterday (when it was 12 degrees) and sprayed it off. It's still salt-caked but, at least I won't have a HUGE mess in the garage.

Have fun with that...

thats what mine looks like in our driveway right now, just full of salt. I can't do much about it now until it warms up just a little bit so the water won't freeze on it.

salts such a pain in the butt to get off, it gets everywhere! under truck, in door jams, engine, everywhere, it sucks

Mine was almost as bad. The frozen drippings gives an idea of real low temps too.

How long does it take for salt to do damage, if not cleaned off??

I left the stuff on my truck for 3 days..

From what I have been told as long as it is below freezing the salt will not hurt anything its when it gets warmer out and the salt starts to activate more. I always tried to get it off as soon as possible though.

Brings me back to the days when I lived in Minnesota! I used to always think it was kind of cool to pull my "winter beater" into the garage all covered with salt and grime, and park it right next to my freshly waxed "baby" that had been put away for it's winter nap!
